Adcote School for Girls is a unique and vibrant independent British Boarding school. Established in 1907, the school has around 290 pupils on roll and is set in a magnificent Grade I listed building. Our family ethos ensures all students feel at home; Adcote combines small class sizes and individual attention which go hand in hand with a wealth of extracurricular opportunities. The school is surrounded by 30 acres of beautifully landscaped parkland and is in the heart of British countryside, with Shrewsbury town only 10 minutes away.
Adcote students receive a world class education, with 100% of students going to their top choice university. Our students can go to any university worldwide, including top institutions in the UK such as Oxford, Cambridge, LSE and many Russell group universities. One of our past students received 100% scholarship to student Molecular Biology at Princeton University, proving that Adcote students gain an excellent education and go on to achieve their full potential.
We are fortunate that Adcote has a strong multi-cultural community, with around 35% of our pupils from overseas and 65% remain British. We welcome pupils and staff from over twenty countries around the world and they bring a wealth of cultural and diversity into Adcote. Our international students are fully integrated into School life and are made to feel very much part of the family. As a school we aim to offer an excellent academic education as well as access to a wide range of Music, Drama and Sport. We believe that Adcote offers its pupils the best possible opportunities to succeed.
