Established since 1946, the Alice Smith School offers an outstanding British education for a successful international future. As a not-for-profit educational foundation, all the school’s resources are focused on the well-being and achievement of students.
The school is one of the first schools in Malaysia and earliest in South East Asia and wider afield to be accredited as a British School Overseas by the Department for Education in London and is graded as outstanding. In addition, the school was welcomed as a member of the Independent Association of Preparatory Schools (IAPS), a recognised UK-based kitemark of quality. Alice Smith is the first school in Malaysia to be accepted and only the fifth in Asia to meet the exacting entry requirements.
Catering from Pre-school to Year to 13 and offering GCSEs and A Levels, the school has grown into a diverse and dynamic community with 1,500 students from close to 50 different nations. With over 70 years of history, the school has a rich educational heritage and an extensive web of alumni globally.
The school is also a member of FOBISIA (Federation of British International Schools in Asia), COBIS (Council of British International Schools), ISC (Independent Schools Council), EARCOS (East Asia Region Council of Schools), and CIS (Council of International Schools).
