Mercedes College, a co-ed, IB school registered with the Council of International Schools, is based in Adelaide, Australia and is offering a new Principal’s Scholarship for a student entering Semester 2 of Year 10 in July 2018.
It is expected the student has successfully completed Year 10 equivalent in their home country, or at least Semester 1 equivalent. The Scholarship will continue for Year 11 in 2019 and Year 12 in 2020.
The Scholarship is worth 25% off the tuition fees, approx. AUD$23,000.00 per year.
All applications received before the closing date will be considered and judged on the applicant’s level of English, plus their Academic merit. Consideration will also be given to any Music, Sport or other achievements or talents. The Scholarship will be awarded based on merit, at the sole discretion of the school.

Eligibility Criteria1. All Scholarship applicants must sign up as student in Scholarships2u.com and sit for the Scholarship Benchmark Test online. 2. Successful completion of Year 10 or equivalent - or at least Semester 1 of Year 10- is expected. Applicants should upload their recent exam results and achievement reports for the last 3 years. 3. Evidence of recent involvement in co-curricular activities e.g. music, sport, drama etc. would be a plus. 4. Shortlisted students may be called for a Skype interview or an interview with a Mercedes College staff member, in March 2018, in Malaysia. 5. Scholarships cover programme tuition fees only. The successful applicant will study one Semester in the Middle Years IB Programme for Year 10, and then will have the opportunity to choose if they study the IB Diploma or the South Australian Certificate of Education for Years 11 & 12. Both qualifications are pathways to university. The student will receive extensive counselling and testing to assist them with making this decision.
