University of Worcester International College

UNITED KINGDOM
About

UWIC is an associate college of the University of Worcester, supporting international students to achieve their full potential. Worcester is a beautiful, cathedral city in the heart of the English countryside, offering a unique combination of small-town charm and big-city sophistication. The city is centrally located and with excellent rail and road links, Worcester is easily reached from the rest of the UK and the world.

Based on the University of Worcester campus, the University of Worcester International College (UWIC) provides first year, university foundation and pre-masters pathway programmes for international students who want to study an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in the UK but are not currently eligible for direct entry.

Students are able to choose from a number of different pathway courses, depending on the subject area and level of course required, and become university students with access to all campus facilities from their first day of study. Successful students then automatically progress onto the relevant undergraduate or postgraduate in their second year.

Undergraduate pathway subject areas include accountancy and finance, art and design and creative media, business, law, marketing, social science, science and health and sport and exercise science. Our premasters business programme allows progression onto areas of study such as business psychology, business administration, international management, finance, marketing and human resource management.

As a UWIC student you are guaranteed on-campus accommodation in your first year of study and will have the option to apply to stay longer if you wish.

Established on the site of a former RAF base used in World War Two, it is the UK’s fastest growing university, with a 10.6 per cent increase on applications in 2009 and a 100 per cent increase since 2004.

All UK pollen forecasts originate from university’s National Pollen and Aerobiology Research Unit. It boasts the Carbon Trust Standard award and was the first English university to receive a Gold EcoCampus Award, shortly after gaining the Silver Eco-Campus Status in 2008.

It ranks #92 in the impact rankings for partnership of goals and #101 for the Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions Impact Rankings of 2020.
