The University of Reading was founded in 1892 as an extension of University College, Oxford. After receiving it's own charter in 1926, Reading has developed into successful research intensive institution, with a global reach. As a research intensive institution, students will benefit from close collaboration with world leading researchers in a wide variety of fields. The University of Reading consists of three campuses in the UK (Whiteknights, Greenlands, and London Road) with the majority of programs being hosted at the Whiteknights campus. It also has satellite campuses in South Africa and Malaysia. Currently there are over 19,000 students attending the University of Reading from around the world, from more than 150 different countries.
