Queen Ethelburga's Collegiate

UNITED KINGDOM
About
Queen Ethelburga's Collegiate is an independent school for girls and boys from 3 months to 19 years old, offering day, weekly and full boarding places. Founded in 1912 in Harrogate, it is now located in Thorpe Underwood, near Little Ouseburn, northwest of York, England. Queen Ethelburga’s is ranked as the North of England’s academically most successful, independent co-educational day and boarding school. Over 98% of Year 13 left to go to the best universities. Queen Ethelburga's Collegiate comprises four schools and a kindergarten, each with its unique qualities, but all sharing a common purpose of providing students with a first class education and the opportunity to work towards higher education and a successful career. Sixth Form at Queen Ethelburga’s is much more than a two-year study course. It is a time to build the bridge from youth to adulthood, school to higher education and a career. It is a time for tackling a deeper involvement in the community and learning to value well-earned privileges, as well as taking on additional roles in the running of the school and the organisation of house activities. We offer a wide range of Sixth Form courses, all of which require a high level of commitment, a willingness to research information and a genuine interest in the subject. Our campus is exceptional, set in over 100 acres of manicured country park in the Vale of York. Our supporting Charitable Foundation maintains a range and quality of facilities few can equal, with over £80m invested in new resources in recent years including our new Sports Village and a refurbishment of boarding accommodation. The sports centre also boasts five gymnasiums, five tennis courts, volleyball courts, rugby pitches, cricket pitches, hockey pitches, football pitches, climbing wall and more!
