Hofstra University has established multiple scholarship programs to reward students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement in high school. Hofstra is committed to providing you with an affordable, high quality education. In fall 2020 we awarded $37.5 million to first-year students, and a total of $118.8 million institution gift assistance was awarded to all entering undergraduate students.
Scholarship funding up to $24,000 is available for International Pathway students.

The most popular majors at Hofstra University include: Marketing/Marketing Management, General; Psychology, Accounting; Finance, General; and Community Health and Preventive Medicine. The average freshman retention rate, an indicator of student satisfaction, is 81%.

- All applications received before the end of the closing date will be considered for scholarships.
- Scholarships will be awarded on a first come, first served basis until available scholarship funds have been exhausted.
- Scholarships will be awarded based on merit, at the sole discretion of the school.
- Any or all scholarship values published is an indicative value of the award and does not indicate the actual awards.

- Scholarships it may be renewed for up to 8 consecutive terms of undergraduate study if you meet the requirements specified in the award notification.
- Students enrolled at Hofstra for a second bachelor degree are not eligible for this aid.
- Part-time students are not eligible for any part of their full-time awards.
- Students a required maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.0 to retain any awarded grant and a 3.0 to retain any awarded scholarship
To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- All applicants must register as students via Scholarship2u.com.
- All applicants must make an application via the Scholarships2u.com portal in order to qualify for the scholarship.
- Scholarship covers tuition fees only.
- Terms and conditions may apply.
- Applicants must submit a certified copy of their recent exam results upon request. (If your documents are in a language other than English, you must provide certified translations).
- Scholarships are based on a combination of factors including but not limited to G.P.A., SAT/ACT scores and involvement in activities
- Freshman within the average SAT/ACT range and above are offered academic scholarships; individual departments have their own criteria for other scholarships and grants.
- Awards are given to students who demonstrate academic achievement, athletic talent, and strong leadership, as well as performers and artists.
- Aid is also awarded based on financial need.
