Wilkes University offers a broad mix of professional and liberal arts programs. There’s opportunity to choose from numerous majors across six different schools. You can choose double major or combine a major and a minor. Double major in engineering and digital media. Major in accounting and minor in Spanish. With so many different programs, you’ll have a wide range of options. In addition to bachelor degree programs, Wilkes offers master's degree programs and doctoral/terminal degree programs including the doctor of nursing practice, doctor of education, doctor of pharmacy, doctor of philosophy in nursing and master of fine arts in creative writing.

Awarded during the admission decision process based on academic performance and are renewable per year  Scholarships offered for the 2021-2022 academic year up to USD19,000

International student merit scholarships are based off of previous academic performance. Scholarships are awarded at the time of admission decision after all required materials have been received.

Terms and Conditions

  • All applications received before the end of the closing date will be considered for scholarships. 
  • Scholarships will be awarded on a first come, first served basis until available scholarship funds have been exhausted. 
  • Scholarships will be awarded based on merit, at the sole discretion of the school. 
  • Any or all scholarship values published is an indicative value of the award and does not indicate the actual awards.
  • Please note that all scholarships information and/or scholarships value in this list were correct at time of publication, however they are subject to change without notice.
  • Submission of an application and meeting the minimum criteria does not automatically guarantee the applicant a scholarship.

To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. All applicants must register as students via Scholarship2u.com. 
  2. All applicants must make an application via the Scholarships2u.com portal in order to qualify for the scholarship. 
  3. Scholarship covers tuition fees only. 
  4. Applicants must submit a certified copy of their recent exam results upon request. (If your documents are in a language other than English, you must provide certified translations).
  5. Open to students aged 17 and above.
  6. Minimum qualification for PreU, A-Level or Foundation: IGCSE, SPM
  7. Minimum qualification for Undergraduates: UEC, O-Level, STPM, or equivalent. 
  8. Minimum qualification for Postgraduates: Bachelor degree qualification or equivalent
  9. Students must meet a minimum of a 2.5 GPA out of 4.0 and meet the minimum English Proficiency requirements of IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL 61 to be considered for scholarships
  10. Original test score results of the ACT or SAT (optional maybe required for athletes).
  11. Students will be subjected to an interview and required to sit the college entrance tests.
  12. School Leaving Certificate
  13. Letter of Recommendation from School
  14. Other supporting documents e.g. resume, awards, portfolio etc.
  15. A photocopy of valid passport photography page
  16. A completed international student financial aid application.
  17. An essay written in English to include information describing who you are, your academic and extracurricular experiences and goals, and why you would like to study at this institution. (about 500words).
