At the International Study Centre, we teach the International Foundation Year, International Year One, and Pre-Master's courses to help you prepare for studying undergraduate and postgraduate degree at the Liverpool John Moores University. A part of that, we are pleased to offer scholarships for international students with a range of 10% - 30% from the total tuition fee per year which the scholarships amount per year is £1,000 to £4,000, with term and condition apply. 

Terms and Conditions

  • All applications received before the end of the closing date will be considered for scholarships. 
  • Scholarships will be awarded on a first come, first served basis until available scholarship funds have been exhausted. 
  • Scholarships will be awarded based on merit, at the sole discretion of the school. 
  • Any or all scholarship values published is an indicative value of the award and does not indicate the actual awards.
  • Please note that all scholarships information and/or scholarships value in this list were correct at time of publication, however they are subject to change without notice.
  • Submission of an application and meeting the minimum criteria does not automatically guarantee the applicant a scholarship. 

To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. All applicants must register as students via Scholarship2u.com. 
  2. All applicants must make an application via the Scholarships2u.com portal in order to qualify for the scholarship. 
  3. Scholarship covers tuition fees only. 
  4. Terms and conditions may apply.
  5. Applicants must submit a certified copy of their recent exam results upon request. (If your documents are in a language other than English, you must provide certified translations).
  6. Open to students aged 17 and above.
  7. Minimum qualification for Foundation: IGCSE, SPM
  8. English Language Requirement: 6.5 in IELTS (Academic Module)
  9. Students will be subjected to an interview and required to sit the college entrance tests.
  10. School Leaving Certificate
  11. Letter of Recommendation from School
  12. A photocopy of valid passport photography page

At Liverpool John Moores University International Study Centre:

  • Our programmes consist of academic modules, study skills and English language training, designed to ensure that you have the required skills to succeed when you start your degree at LJMU. 
  • The programmes will introduce you to the style of learning that you will experience at LJMU. You will learn via one-to-one tutorials, small seminars and as part of larger lecture groups. This will ensure that you have an even greater chance of succeeding at the University.
  • To help you to fulfil your career ambitions, we have integrated a careers service into our programmes. This careers service is designed to help you become a confident, highly skilled and extremely employable graduate and give you a head start in today’s competitive graduate employment market.
  • Completing your programme and achieving the required grades means that you will gain a degree place at LJMU. To ensure that you are on track to achieve the required grades, you will be monitored regularly via continuous coursework and assessments.
  • The International Study Centre provides you with all the learning resources you need. As well as classrooms, there is a reception area where you can access information, a common room, and an open-access IT room with computers. You can also use LJMU’s state-of-the-art libraries and specialist teaching, computing and laboratory facilities.
  • Throughout your studies you will be supported by the International Study Centre and LJMU staff so that you can make the most of the learning and social opportunities. You will be encouraged to find out about your degree options, meet tutors in the subjects that interest you, and talk to current students to learn from their experiences.
  • Located in the heart of Liverpool, the International Study Centre is close to LJMU’s Redmonds Building and the Aldham Robarts Library. Nearby are also numerous places to eat and relax.
