Padworth College is an international, co-educational boarding and day school for students aged 13 to 18 years. At Padworth, we strive to uphold the innovative vision of our founders to offer a truly unique educational experience, based on small classes in a personal, informal atmosphere, which focuses on each individual’s talents. We aim to develop reflective, creative and caring thinkers with a global outlook, based on open-mindedness, intercultural understanding and respect.

The key aspects of a Padworth education include:

  • Our educational philosophy is based on the Oxford University tutorial model of teaching, with personalised attention.
  • A programme of learning is devised for each individual student, reflecting university and career aspirations, as well as personal interests and ability.
  • Our class sizes are small for optimum learning and to encourage student-teacher interaction.
  • Our student body, representing 30 different nationalities, celebrates cultural diversity.
  • We combine a traditional British, well-balanced curriculum with a modern and unique approach to learning.
  • We provide challenging and in-depth study as preparation for entrance to top universities.
  • Our boarding, with its strong focus on pastoral care and student welfare, ensures there is a balance of academic study alongside recreational and social activities.
  • We are located close to London and Heathrow Airport, in an historic country estate in the middle of a picturesque and safe environment.

For those students considering A Levels, we offer a wide range of subjects, including English Language and Literature, Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geography, History, Sociology, Psychology, Government and Politics, Business Studies, Economics, Accounting, Music, Fine Art, Textiles, Graphic Communication, Photography and ICT. International students are able to study IELTS, with support from specialist English teachers.

In the 2020/21 academic year, Padworth College is offering Academic Scholarships to exceptional students enrolling in Years 9, 10, 11 and 12 in September 2020.

Scholarships will normally only be awarded to those students enrolling for more than 18 months, although we will also award scholarships to exceptional students enrolling on the 1 Year IGCSE Programme in Year 11. For those enrolling in Years 9, 10 or 11, the scholarship award will end upon the completion of Year 11. Students are then able to apply for a new scholarship for Year 12 entry.

All applications received before the end of the closing date will be considered for scholarships.

Scholarships will be awarded on a first come, first served basis until available scholarship funds have been exhausted.

Scholarships will be awarded based on merit, at the sole discretion of the school.
