Sault College is providing a transformative life experience through empowering their students. They want them to think and learn in progressive, innovative ways, including those we have not yet imagined. International students make up a third of the population at Sault College, representing 17 different countries. Sault Ste. Marie was ranked in the top 10 friendliest cities in Canada.

Sault Ste. Marie offers employment support services to international students, helping them find employment once their studies are complete. Job agencies work with Sault College to help support International Students. There are many employers and industries in Sault Ste. Marie, including forestry, manufacturing (steel and fabrication), lottery and gaming, renewable energy and aviation.

Sault College, also offers Diploma to Degree programs, in partnership with Algoma University. Under this partnership, qualifying students in eligible programs can complete their diploma at Sault College and move to Algoma University to

complete their degree in four years.

A $500 CAD scholarship for an international student who has exhibited consistently strong academic performance and has participated in activities that have made a contribution to other students.

Terms and Conditions:

  • All applications received before the end of the closing date will be considered for scholarships. 
  • Scholarships will be awarded on a first come, first served basis until available scholarship funds have been exhausted. 
  • Scholarships will be awarded based on merit, at the sole discretion of the school. 
  • Any or all scholarship values published is an indicative value of the award and does not indicate the actual awards.

  • Submission of an application and meeting the minimum criteria does not automatically guarantee the applicant a scholarship.

To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. All applicants must register as students via Scholarship2u.com. 
  2. All applicants must make an application via the Scholarships2u.com portal in order to qualify for the scholarship. 
  3. Scholarship covers tuition fees only. 
  4. Terms and conditions may apply.
  5. Applicants must submit a certified copy of their recent exam results upon request. (If your documents are in a language other than English, you must provide certified translations).
  6. Open to students aged 18 and above.
  7. Minimum qualification for Undergraduates: A-LEVEL, UEC, O-Level, STPM, or equivalent. 
  8. Minimum qualification for Postgraduates: Bachelor degree qualification or equivalent
  9. English Language Requirement: 6.5 in IELTS (Academic Module) or equivalent
  10. Students will be subjected to an interview and required to sit the college entrance tests.
  11. School Leaving Certificate
  12. Letter of Recommendation from School
  13. Other supporting documents e.g. resume, awards, portfolio etc.
  14. A photocopy of valid passport photography page
