SEK Education Group, through its Felipe Segovia Foundation, aims with these scholarships, to support 15-16 years old students with high personal and academic profiles to take the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme at an authorised SEK school or those studying equivalent qualifications if students comes from different education systems.

With schools in Spain, Ireland, France and Qatar, SEK Education Group boasts an international learning community made up of over 5,500 students from more than 70 nationalities. SEK students are accepted at prestigious international universities worldwide - Stanford, Georgetown, Babson, Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial College and Edinburgh. 

Terms and Conditions

  • All applications received before the end of the closing date will be considered for scholarships. 
  • Scholarships will be awarded on a first come, first served basis until available scholarship funds have been exhausted. 
  • Scholarships will be awarded based on merit, at the sole discretion of the school. 
  • Any or all scholarship values published is an indicative value of the award and does not indicate the actual awards.
  • Please note that all scholarships information and/or scholarships value in this list were correct at time of publication, however they are subject to change without notice.
  • Submission of an application and meeting the minimum criteria does not automatically guarantee the applicant a scholarship.

To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. All applicants must register as students via Scholarship2u.com. 
  2. All applicants must make an application via the Scholarships2u.com portal in order to qualify for the scholarship. 
  3. Scholarship covers tuition fees only. 
  4. Applicants must submit a certified copy of their recent exam results upon request. (If your documents are in a language other than English, you must provide certified translations).
  5. Open to students aged 15-16 years old.
  6. Students will be subjected to an interview and required to sit the college entrance tests.
  7. School Leaving Certificate
  8. Letter of Recommendation from School
  9. Other supporting documents e.g. resume, awards, portfolio etc.
  10. A photocopy of valid passport photography page
  11. Have studied year 4 of Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) or its equivalent during the 2019-
  12. 2020 academic year.
  13. Have obtained an average mark of 9 points in ESO year 3 and the first and second assessments for
  14. year 4 or its equivalent in other education systems.
  15. Have developed aspects of their profile that extend beyond the academic field.

Each of the SEK Excellence Scholarships will be awarded by the Scholarship Committee, based on the

academic merits and the personal portfolio submitted by students.

It will be endowed the full Diploma Programme tuition fees for the whole two years.

The Scholarship Committee may review and even completely withdraw the scholarship to the student, if one of the following circumstances occurs:

• to have outstanding debts with SEK Education Group.

• a significant drop in the student’s academic performance.

• the student evinces an attitude not in accordance with the values of SEK Education Group.

(Coexistence, academic propriety, effort, overcoming difficulties, etc.)

Two annual reviews will be carried out: one in the first half of January and another in the first half of April.

Students will only be notified once when their conditions of the awarded scholarship change.

Any
