Super KUAS-E Scholarship 

for International Students to study Undergraduate and Graduate program in Japan.

One of the founding principles of Kyoto University of Advanced Science (KUAS) is that education should foster "first-class graduates capable of identifying and resolving issues critical to leading society into the future." To this end, KUAS seeks applicants who understand the scope of subjects taught by the Faculty or Department of their choice and who desire to deepen their knowledge, further their skills, and acquire the education necessary to make positive contributions to global society. I

The Kyoto University of Advanced Science is granting the Super KUAS-E funding for outstanding international students who want to commence the undergraduate and graduate programme in Japan.

Terms and Conditions

  • All applications received before the end of the closing date will be considered for scholarships. 
  • Scholarships will be awarded on a first come, first served basis until available scholarship funds have been exhausted. 
  • Scholarships will be awarded based on merit, at the sole discretion of the school. 
  • Any or all scholarship values published is an indicative value of the award and does not indicate the actual awards.

  • Submission of an application and meeting the minimum criteria does not automatically guarantee the applicant a scholarship.
  • Applicants must successfully meet all remaining conditions for entry to their chosen course
  • Applicants must maintain excellent attendance and complete all work during their course
  • The Scholarships are provided to students who perform exceptionally well in their academic field.
  • All documents submitted for application to KUAS will be used during scholarship screening, and applicants will be informed of the results of their enrollment application as well as their scholarship application at the same time.
  • Applicants who wish to receive a scholarship must indicate so in their application to KUAS.

To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. All applicants must register as students via Scholarship2u.com. 
  2. All applicants must make an application via the Scholarships2u.com portal in order to qualify for the scholarship. 
  3. Scholarship covers tuition fees only. 
  4. Terms and conditions may apply.
  5. Applicants must submit a certified copy of their recent exam results upon request. (If your documents are in a language other than English, you must provide certified translations).
  6. Open to students aged 18 and above.
  7. Minimum qualification for Undergraduates: A-Level, IB, O-Level, STPM, or equivalent. 
  8. Minimum qualification for Postgraduates: Bachelor degree qualification or equivalent
  9. English Language Requirement: 6.5 in IELTS (Academic Module) overall with no band less than 6.0 or equivalent.
  10. Students will be subjected to an interview and required to sit the college entrance tests.
  11. School Leaving Certificate
  12. Two Letter of Recommendation from School
  13. Other supporting documents e.g. resume, awards, portfolio etc.
  14. A photocopy of valid passport photography page
  15. An essay written in English to include information describing who you are, your academic and extracurricular experiences and goals, and why you would like to study at this institution.

Once a student is selected to receive a scholarship, their performance is reviewed each semester based on their academic performance as well as evaluations from their teachers. 

Students who are awarded scholarships are expected to maintain exceptional academic performance while also acting as a model for other students. If a student fails to maintain a high level of academic performance or is found to have behaved in a way that damages the reputation of KUAS, their scholarship may be subject to revocation.
