The Tasmanian International Scholarship (TIS) provides commencing international students a 25% reduction in registered tuition fees for the duration of their undergraduate degree.

- Scholarships will be awarded based on merit, at the sole discretion of the school.
- This scholarship is available to all commencing international students who submit an application to study one of the eligible undergraduate programs offered.
- Applicant’s highest qualification must be no lower than Australian year 11
- Terminated scholarships cannot be reinstated for any subsequent enrollment in your study program.
To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- All applicants must register as students via Scholarship2u.com.
- All applicants must make an application via the Scholarships2u.com portal in order to qualify for the scholarship.
- Scholarship covers tuition fees only.
- Terms and conditions may apply.
- Applicants must submit a certified copy of their recent exam results upon request.
- Applicants must be newly enrolled to the University of Newcastle.
- Applicants will be assessed for the Tasmanian International Scholarship at the time of submitting their International Student Application.
- Selection for this scholarship will be based on academic merit achieved in the highest level qualification prior to commencing their intended study program (minimum one year duration)
- Applicants will require the equivalent of an overall B+ average or higher, depending upon the course and scholarship eligibility requirements
- Offer letters will notify applicants if they have been successful in being awarded a scholarship
