The UTS Undergraduate Academic Excellence Scholarship awards a 25% fee waiver to all high performing commencing international students enrolled in an undergraduate coursework program at the University of Technology Sydney.

UTS is part of the Australian Technology Network of universities: a group of five prominent universities committed to working with industry and government to deliver practical and professional courses.

It is regarded as one of the world's leading young universities (under 50 years old), ranked 1st in Australia and 11th in the world by the 2021 QS World University Rankings.

Terms and Conditions:

  • Scholarships will be awarded based on merit, at the sole discretion of the school. 
  • Please note that all scholarships information and/or scholarships value in this list were correct at time of publication, however they are subject to change without notice.
  • The offer of the Scholarship is made subject to all information provided by the Recipient being true and accurate.
  • The Recipient must maintain the minimum progression rules of the University for the duration of the Scholarship.
  • The Recipient must achieve an OPELA score of ‘Good’ by the end of their first session of study at UTS.      
  • The Recipient must continue to be enrolled as a full-time (18 credit points or more per session) in the eligible UTS program for the duration of the Scholarship
  • The recipient may apply to transfer the Scholarship to another undergraduate program, but the duration of the scholarship will not be extended due to a change in degree.
  • If the Recipient defers the UTS offer or withdraws from the UTS course after the start of his/her first session and before Census date, the Scholarship will be terminated
  • Scholarship will be terminated if the Recipient takes leave without approval from UTS          
  • The Recipient must maintain the minimum progression rules of the University for the duration of the Scholarship. If the minimum progression rules are not maintained, payment of the Scholarship may be suspended or terminated.
  • Any Academic Misconduct allegations proven by the University (and upheld if appealed) will result in the termination of this Scholarship and the University might require the Recipient to repay the total benefit received.
  •  The Scholarship cannot be transferred, deferred or redeemed for cash.

To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1.  All applicants must register as students via Scholarship2u.com. 
  2.  All applicants must make an application via the Scholarships2u.com portal in order to qualify for the scholarship. 
  3. Scholarship covers tuition fees only. 
  4. Terms and conditions may apply.
  5. Applicants must be an international student.
  6. Applicants must have completed an Australian Year 12 or UTS recognized high school studies comparable to an Australian Year 12 outside of Australia and be admitted to UTS based on this qualification
  7. Applicants must meet all admission requirements for the selected UTS undergraduate coursework program
  8. Applicants must be commencing full-time time study at UTS on campus (Sydney).

University of Technology Sydney (UTS) considers all commencing international students applying for an undergraduate program at UTS and scholarship will be awarded upon meeting the the requirement set by the university.
