The University of the Sunshine Coast is a modern higher education institution located in Queensland, Australia. Established in 1994, USC is currently in a period of rapid research development and growth, building research capacity, productivity and output.
In 2018 the Australian Research Council ranked USC above or well above world standard in seventeen key research areas and equal to world standard in nine others* (Excellence in Research for Australia report). Set in the sunny state of Queensland on Australia’s east coast, the Sunshine Coast is a destination of endless beaches, lush rainforests, and expansive hinterlands. Located only a short one-hour drive north of the state’s capital, Brisbane, it is home to the architecturally diverse USC Sunshine Coast campus – a campus renowned for its environmentally-sustainable approach.
The campus sits on a 100-hectare designated wildlife reserve, which provides sanctuary to native Australian wildlife, including the resident Eastern Grey Kangaroos, reptiles, and birds.
