The USC Destination Australia Program aims to attract and support new students to study in regional Australia and seeks to offer them a high quality learning experience. Funded by the Australian Government, it is awarding $15,000 per year to international students interested in undertaking training and research while experiencing life in regional and remote Australia.

University of the Sunshine Coast recorded the 9th highest student satisfaction rating out of all Australian universities, and the 3rd highest student satisfaction rating out of all Queensland public universities (satisfaction rating of 81.5)

The faculty of Arts and Business is the most popular choice among international students at USC. Furthermore, it is home to a collection of art focusing on contemporary Australian art with an emphasis on Queensland artists, many of which can be viewed throughout the University campus.

The University collection also includes several sculptures in public spaces on the campus and houses one the most significant collections of Western and Central Desert Australian Aboriginal Art on the Sunshine Coast.

Terms and Conditions

  • All applications received before the end of the closing date will be considered for scholarships. 
  • Scholarships will be awarded on a first come, first served basis until available scholarship funds have been exhausted. 
  • Scholarships will be awarded based on merit, at the sole discretion of the school. 
  • Any or all scholarship values published is an indicative value of the award and does not indicate the actual awards.

  • Applicants must be full-time diploma students due to commence their studies January 2021

To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1.  All applicants must register as students via Scholarship2u.com. 
  2.  All applicants must make an application via the Scholarships2u.com portal in order to qualify for the scholarship. 
  3. Scholarship covers tuition fees only. 
  4. Terms and conditions may apply.
  5. Applicants must submit a certified copy of their recent exam results upon request.
  6. Applicants must produce a personal statement demonstrating commitment to studying and supporting the regional community in which you will be studying.
  7. Applicants must be able to produce evidence of academic merit, transcripts, awards, and supporting documentation as evidence of income if applicable. 

The scholarship may be used to cover the costs of studying at uni, including things like tuition fees, textbooks, or costs associated with placements, internships or study-related travel
