At Brescia University College, international high school students and international transfer students alike will feel right at home. As Canada’s only women’s university, Brescia University College prides itself on its diversity. In fact, 11 per cent of its student body is from all over the world. While Brescia University College's roots are in the Catholic Church, women of all faiths and beliefs are welcome.
Founded in 1919 by the Ursuline Sisters, strong women of faith who are committed to social justice, community service, and the development of women, Brescia University College is affiliated with Western University, the third-largest university in the province. That means that students will benefit from the small, supportive campus atmosphere available at Brescia University College, while still enjoying the resources that Western University has to offer.
In addition to Brescia University College, students may take classes with both men and women at Western’s main campus, Huron, as well as King’s University Colleges. When graduating, students' degrees will be granted by Western University.
Brescia University College is the school of choice for women motivated by academic excellence and opportunity for service and leadership. Brescia graduates are women leaders who contribute actively and positively to society. Focused on academic excellence, Brescia University College creates an actively engaged student experience, educating women to think critically and to participate actively in society. A Catholic university college in the Ursuline tradition, Brescia University College prepare its graduates to lead with wisdom, justice and compassion in a constantly changing world.
