The College’s results are outstanding:
Top Academic School in the UK and Ranked #1 for A Level results over the past 11 years and running.
In 2021, 98% of students received A*-A grades with 100% of students achieving A*-B grades and 38 students gaining places to study medicine.
Excellent teaching, one to one support, superb academic materials, nearly double the amount of teaching hours of any other school and developing academic students with programmes designed to enhance their careers makes the difference.
A stunning 89% of students won places to QS top 100 universities worldwide.
75% of students went onto a UK Russell Group university,
43% to one of the G5 universities and 14% to Hong Kong universities studying subjects such as medicine, dentistry, law and international business.
9 students won places at Oxford and Cambridge, 13 went onto Imperial College,
9 to the London School of Economics and Political Science and 31 to University College London as well as top US universities including University of California, Berkeley, Columbia University and New York University. In addition,
12 students have chosen to take Gap Years this year and will be applying to top G5 universities for 2022 entry.
GCSE results were also impressive. 79.2% of students gained all A* grades, 90.3% gaining A*-A grades and 95% A*-B.
Cardiff is also top of the small school league tables, last published in 2019, for GCSEs.
The College will be running a new two-year GCSE programme from September 2022 which is designed as a four-year career pathway into top universities and will also be opening a new campus in Cambridge for A Level students.
Careers
A two-year super programme of UCAS support, assistance with university entrance exams, lectures and work experience programmes, interview technique and one to one tutoring for personal statements ensures that Cardiff students are expertly prepared for the competitive courses they are applying to.
Super-Curricular Activities
The College offers international work placement programmes in Tanzania, Malaysia, India and Europe as well as the UK, join medical, architectural or finance societies and enter national academic competitions such as science Olympiads, Model United Nations Essay Competitions and Maths challenges. Students debate internationally and have five times won NASA’s International Space Settlement Design Competition in Florida.
Extra-Curricular Activities
A wide range of sports, music, drama, dance and DofE are on offer. There is an annual Sports Day, Cultural Event, Talent Show and Glee theatre production.
All students have gym membership with swimming pool plus basketball, badminton, football, dance and yoga clubs.
Boarding
All rooms are single, ensuite bedrooms. Pastoral care at the College is award winning with boarding staff and progress tutors constantly monitoring each student.
